Calculations stay on your device
The calculators do not ask you to create an account. Typed sizes, ratios, DPI, bitrate and diagonals stay in a script that ships with the page. The image size checker reads a picture you choose, or an address you paste. A chosen file is decoded in your browser and is not posted to this site. An address is requested by your browser from the host in that address. We do not receive the file, and we do not keep a copy of it.

Your browser may keep the page in its own cache. That cache is yours. We do not keep a copy of the sizes you calculated, and we do not keep a history of them on a server.
If you open a link that already has sizes in the query string, the host that serves the site can see that URL in an ordinary request log, the same way it sees any other page request. The calculator does not add your typed numbers to a later request. On the tools, a query string is removed from the address bar after the page loads and is not used as the calculation.
What is saved in the browser
The only value this site deliberately writes to local storage is the theme. The key is ar_theme. It is the word light or the word dark, set when you use the theme button in the header. It does not contain a width, a height, an email address, or a list of past calculations.
If you never use that button, the page follows your system light or dark setting for the visit and does not need to store a choice. Clearing site data for aspectratiocalculator.app removes ar_theme. You can do that in your browser’s settings for this site; there is no account page to visit because there is no account.
The calculator does not set a first-party cookie in order to remember your last ratio.
Email you send us
If you write to [email protected], we receive the address you sent from, the subject, and the body. We use that message to answer you and to correct the page you described. We do not add the address to a mailing list, and we do not ask you to include a photograph of yourself or a copy of the media file.
Google AdSense
The site is enrolled with Google AdSense as publisher ca-pub-1271829671637482. Advertisements are not shown at the moment. This privacy policy will still apply when they are.
When ads are shown, Google can use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads, to decide whether an ad is personalized, and to measure whether it was viewed. Google describes how it uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
You can turn personalized ads off at https://adssettings.google.com/. The Network Advertising Initiative offers an industry opt-out at https://optout.networkadvertising.org/. Those controls belong to Google and to the NAI. They are not a setting inside this calculator.
People in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland should get a consent choice before advertising cookies are stored. That choice is not on the site while ads are off. We will not turn ads on for those regions until the choice is in place. Until then, this privacy policy is the notice, and no advertising cookie is set by us.
Analytics
This privacy policy covers Google Analytics 4, which counts visits and which pages are opened. The script loads after you click, type, scroll or touch the page, or after a short delay if you do none of those. IP anonymization is on. Advertising storage starts denied. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, analytics storage also starts denied until a consent choice is recorded.
Google describes how it uses information from sites that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can turn Google Analytics off for your browser with the browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Children
The calculators are general arithmetic tools. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The pages do not ask for a name, an age, or an account. This privacy policy covers only aspectratiocalculator.app, not the social network or printer you send a finished file to.

If this privacy policy changes, the text on this page is the version that applies. Questions go to [email protected].
